Fashion Design

Course Overview

The course in Fashion encompasses a comprehensive curriculum, starting with Foundational Skills in Design, Art History, Digital Tools, advancing through specialized subjects like Garment Technology, Fashion Merchandising, CAD Software and AI in Design. 

The program integrates practical skills, such as Draping Techniques and Visual Merchandising, with essential soft skills like Communication, Leadership and Entrepreneurship. Emphasizing sustainability and innovation, the course culminates in major projects and industry internships, preparing students for dynamic careers in Fashion.

Learning Outcome

  • Develop a strong understanding of fashion design principles, including color theory, textiles, silhouette, and garment construction.
  • Demonstrate the ability to conceptualize, sketch, and illustrate original fashion designs using both manual and digital tools.
  • Apply knowledge of pattern making, draping, and sewing techniques to create finished garments.
  • Use textile knowledge to select appropriate fabrics based on functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability.
  • Exhibit professional skills such as portfolio development, teamwork, communication, and ethical practices required for the fashion industry.
  • Integrate fashion technology and design software for design development, presentation, and production planning.

How to apply

1. Application Form

Fill an online / offline application form with your details and pay Application Fees

2. Aptitude Test

Appear for S.S. Design Aptitude Test (SSDAT) in online / offline mode

3. Interview

Upon successful result, a Personal Interview will be conducted

4. Fee and Documents

Complete the formalities by submitting Fees and Documents and get enrolled

Scholarships

A scholarship of up to 50% on Tuition fees may be awarded based on merit, considering the performance of applicants in the S.S. Scholarship test, which includes a written exam followed by a personal interview.
To continue availing the scholarship in all the years of the program, the student has to maintain a minimum GPA all through the semesters
The scholarship amount is completely at the discretion of SSID management and no further requests will be entertained.
